Happy Halloween

I dressed in my same costume of three years, Alice. Although this year by far was the best, because I actually did my makeup really cool. I look more like a doll but either way it looked great

What's helped my acne...

Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent

Yup.

I never thought an astringent would help my skin. I've been breaking out since having my daughter and I was desperately trying things to help.

I picked this up since it had salicylic acid in it and witch hazel.

Since using it I've noticed an improvement in my skin. I had a very bumpy forehead just little breakout bumps. They're almost all gone now. Ive broken out less on my face entirely. I still get one or two every now and then but so much better than before.

When I rub this on my face with a cotton ball it's so refreshing. Smells like medicine and like eucalyptus or something? But I don't mind. My skin feels soft after and definitely cleaner.

If you're looking for a toner/astringent I'd definitely recommend this one. It was pretty cheap. Like $3-4? I think

MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation

I went to the MAC counter at Nordstrom and I wanted to try out a foundation but it didn't really matter which I just wanted a medium coverage matte/ semi-matte finish foundation. The lady there recommended this foundation as it was new and she loved it.

So she matched me and I was matched to shade 6 and I'm an NC42 skin tone. I got a sample.

I went home and have used it off and on but I finally finished my sample.

My first impression was that it gave me a very nice semi matte even coverage. Flawless.

After using it a few times:

•Coverage: Medium to Full, looks even and flawless
•Finish: Semi-matte
•Feel: on my face it feels silky smooth
•Consistency: Thick, kind of heavy
•Lasting Power: id say....3/5 stars it lasts but I noticed once that even with primer it looked a bit patchy? Could be how I did my makeup that day, idk. But otherwise it had decent lasting power.

The MAC website says:
"New Foundation technology using translucent pigments to enable a fully personalized finish influenced by the subtleties of your own skin's undertone. Moisturizing demi-matte finish. Medium buildable coverage. Line-reducing soft-focus powders."

I didn't notice the change in color but it did match me very well despite the more orangey undertone it had so it must've changed.

Overall, I'd recommend this foundation. I have normal/combination skin and it worked for me.

For the product, it's too expensive for me and I can get something better but if you like MAC or want to try it definitely get a sample first and try it yourself.

L.A Colors Liquid Makeup

I was at the dollar store and noticed they had this foundation and for a dollar I'm like why not just see what it's like. I've heard their shadows are good and I've used the powder as a backup to my mark mattenificent. Didn't expect much.

Matched my skin alright. I got it in Tan. I've used their pressed powder before so I chose the same color.

First off there is mineral oil in it. Red flag haha. I put it on my face. If anything, super light coverage, my mark. Get a tint tinted moisturizer has more coverage.

It felt greasy and heavy. Had to take it off.

Also I'll show you in order just how disgusting this looks when trying to blend in. Because of the oil it separates and you can see it. However in the end it gets even.

Anyways I hated it but at least it was a dollar and I didn't waste a lot of money on it.

Pros:
•$1.00
Cons:
•mineral oil
•separates
•heavy
•doesn't blend well
•greasy
•very light coverage
•etc

Pin Up Inspired<3

Pin up girls are hot and I love the classic winged liner with bold red lips. Not my thing to wear red but I had a sample of mark. Full Color Lipclick Lipstick in Cha Cha and decided to go with it.

This lipstick is amazing, it's moisturizing, provides great color, good lasting power and comes at a great price of $10.

These earrings I bought for $10 at Bumbershoot from a vendor and they are probably my favorite earrings right now.

I'm feelin' purple today

I haven't posted in a few days :/
Well I'm excited for this entire month:]
My birthday, Halloween, Alesana in concert, clubbing etc.

So I was bored today, I decided to play with makeup. I decided on purple since it's a trendy color for fall but mine is more bold. Also I complemented it with a purple lipstick.

I think purple really complements my eyes & skintone and I love trying new ways to use it.
