Here's a before shot of how dry my hands were:
Ashy.....LOL
Here's the consistancy of the hand cream, not your typical hand cream. Usually they're thick, this is really like a "cream"
This amount was actually A LOT of product for both hands, not even half of that is plenty
After rubbing the hand cream into both hands, here's how my hands looked :]
This is at the end of the day, hands are still moisturized :]
So is this hand cream worth it?
I'd say...YES
Packaging:
Now, I usually buy Bath & Body Works lotions to keep in my purse, they're kind of big.
This is very compact and perfect for your purse. This hand cream comes in two scents, Lemon Sugar and Pear Blossom, so depending on which one you get it will either be green or yellow. I love that it's a simple design, but a stand out color.
I also really like the twist off cap, because HOW MANY TIMES have I reached into my purse and gotten a glob of lotion on my hands, because the cap of the B&BW lotion opened up. You don't have to worry about that with this hand cream because you just twist it shut.
Consistency:
When I think of hand creams, I think of a really thick consistency. Not this.
This hand cream is really light.
Smell:
So the one I got is in Pear Blossom. There's an entire collection of the Pear Blossom scent including body butter, this new handcream and shower 3 in 1 gel. IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love fruity smells and this just smells so good I can't stop smelling my hands.
Now, one thing about that is, on the hand cream's description it says "a light, fruity scent." On the website it doesn't say that, but just a heads up if you can't handle strong smells, I don't know if you'll be happy with this. It's a strong smell at first but it wears off after a bit so your hands are still moisturized and you still have a little scent but not as strong. So I mean if you don't mind a big whiff of the smell at first then it'll be fine.
Does it live up to it's name?
I think it does. I expected a buttery soft cream that would leave me with soft and silky hands. That wasn't really the case. It's not "greasy" but it's not like silky smooth either. I don't really know how to describe it.
BUT it definitely leaves your hands moisturized. I had it on all day without reapplying and my hands showed no sign of dryness and that's after a 5 hour class of draping where I was using my hands all day and it's winter and my skin gets dry. So YES I think it's moisturizing and definitely worth getting.
Pros:
-Leaves hands moisturized all day
-Smells amazing
-Compact, perfect to put in your purse
-Affordable
-Comes in two scents
-Light consistency
Cons:
-Doesn't leave you with super soft silky hands
